Calculate your net earnings after Amazon, Flipkart, or Meesho commission, shipping, and fees.
This tool works out what you actually keep after a marketplace takes its cut. It deducts the platform commission (a percentage of selling price), fixed shipping and closing/collection fees, and GST charged on those fees, then subtracts your product cost to show net profit per order. Net profit = Selling price - commission - shipping - closing fee - GST on fees - product cost.
On a ₹1,000 sale at 15% commission, ₹60 shipping and ₹20 closing fee, with 18% GST on those fees: commission is ₹150, fees ₹80, GST on fees ₹41.40, so total deductions are about ₹271. You receive around ₹729, and after a ₹500 product cost your net profit is roughly ₹229 per order.
Commission varies by category and price band, typically ranging from about 5% to 20% plus fixed and shipping fees. Meesho runs a 0% commission model for many categories. Always check your current seller agreement for exact rates.
Yes, marketplaces levy 18% GST on their commission and other service fees. You can usually claim this as input tax credit if you are GST registered.
Beyond commission, marketplaces deduct shipping/fulfilment charges, fixed closing or collection fees, GST on those fees, and sometimes payment gateway or return handling costs.
For selling taxable goods across most Indian marketplaces you generally need GST registration regardless of turnover. Confirm current requirements for your category with a tax professional or the GST portal.
