How the DNS Record Checker works

This tool queries public DNS resolvers for a domain and returns its published records: A (IPv4 address), AAAA (IPv6 address), CNAME (aliases), MX (mail servers), TXT (verification and SPF/DKIM records), and NS (authoritative name servers). It simply reads what the domain's DNS zone is currently advertising, so results reflect live settings once propagation is complete. No changes are made to your domain; it is a read-only lookup.

Worked example

Enter yourstore.in and the checker might show an A record of 192.0.2.45 (your hosting IP), MX records pointing to your email provider, an NS record like ns1.bigrock.in, and a TXT record beginning with v=spf1 used to authorise who can send email as your store.

Frequently asked questions

My website is not opening after I changed hosting. What should I check?

Check the A record here to confirm it points to your new host's IP address. DNS changes can take up to 24-48 hours to propagate across India, so wait and re-check if the record still shows the old value.

Why are my emails going to spam?

Missing or wrong TXT records (SPF and DKIM) are a common cause. Use this tool to confirm your SPF TXT record exists and lists your email provider; then set up DKIM/DMARC with your provider.

What are MX records used for?

MX records tell the internet which mail servers handle email for your domain. If you use Google Workspace or Zoho Mail for your store's email, the MX records must point to that provider.

I bought my domain from GoDaddy/BigRock. Can I still check it here?

Yes. This tool works for any registrar or host because it reads public DNS. The NS records shown tell you which name servers are currently authoritative for your domain.
