Estimate courier shipping costs by weight, dimensions, and pincode. Compare rates across delivery partners.
The calculator estimates courier charges using the details that decide any shipment's price: pickup and delivery pincodes (which set the zone and distance), actual weight, and package dimensions. Couriers bill on whichever is higher, actual weight or volumetric weight (length x width x height divided by a divisor), so both matter. It shows indicative rates across common partners so you can compare surface versus express options. Note: this page currently shows sample rates for layout; live courier rates are planned via Commmerce Delivery Hub.
A 1 kg parcel measuring 30 x 20 x 15 cm shipped from Bengaluru (560001) to Delhi (110001) shows indicative options such as a surface service around Rs. 70 in 4-6 days versus an express service around Rs. 112 in 2-3 days, letting the seller weigh cost against speed.
Volumetric weight reflects how much space a parcel takes, calculated as length x width x height divided by a courier divisor (commonly 5000 for cm/kg). Light but bulky items get billed on this figure if it exceeds the actual weight, so a big empty box costs more to ship.
Couriers price by zone, so a within-city delivery is cheaper than a metro-to-metro shipment, and remote or ODA (out-of-delivery-area) pincodes cost more. Both pickup and delivery pincodes together decide the zone.
No, they are indicative estimates for comparison. Your actual price depends on your negotiated courier contract, fuel surcharge, COD fees, and any remote-area charges, so confirm with your courier or aggregator before booking.
Yes, cash-on-delivery usually adds a flat fee or a percentage of the order value on top of freight. If most of your orders are COD, factor that in when comparing courier quotes.
Commmerce Delivery Hub gives live courier rates, label printing, and tracking across carriers from one dashboard.
